As we gradually come out of lockdown, we will be all social
distancing for some time to come.
A booklet to all households called Wellbeing and Mental Health
during Covid-19 has just been distributed.
This is a guide to looking after yourself and others and with a number
of very good suggestions and tips to keep well and healthy. To access
this booklet online or order more copies please visit; www.every-life-
matters.org.uk
All local authorities are supporting this publication with a lot of
useful telephone contacts and the County has the latest information
on Covid 19 on their web site at www.cumbria.gov.uk/coronavirus/
Our local community continues to operate and thrive thanks in the
main to an army of volunteers whom are helping our residents and
our heartfelt thanks goes out to them.
As we are all aware most businesses will be open for customers from
the middle of the month. It has been a tough time for all these
businesses and with the implementation of social distancing rules it
will make work and shopping a very different environment for us all
in the coming months.
I hope we can all continue our support of the local businesses. It is
essential for the viability of our local community for us to help
maintain as many local businesses as possible Please everyone stay
safe
On a worrying note I have again been informed that scamming and
false information from people telephoning residents is still a major problem.
Please be vigilant and in all cases the tax authorities will
NOT ring you up on the telephone but contact you by letter.
To report a scam please contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
For all consumer advice please contact the Citizens Advice Consumer
Helpline on 0808 223 1133
All the best
