Councillor James Airey, the Conservative parliamentary candidate for Westmorland and Lonsdale, has given his congratulations to Boris Johnson on being elected as the new leader of the Conservative Party.
James Airey said: “It was great to have Boris in the constituency during the campaign to meet local farmers, and it was encouraging to see and hear his unshakeable commitment to the challenges we face in rural areas.
“I have also been impressed by Jeremy Hunt and hope he will continue to play a big role in the future.”
