The visit to Greystoke followed a previous one on February 15th, where I joined Dr. Neil Hudson MP to talk with locals about bus routes to the village.
During our visit to Greystoke yesterday, we had productive conversations with residents about various issues, building on the insights from our Thursday visit.
We then moved to Pooley Bridge, situated next to a busy Ullswater, and continued our community dialogue. We talked about parking, potholes, and the busy tourist periods that put pressure on the area.
There was an underlying thread of support for the active presence of Conservatives in the community, and residents appreciated the direct engagement, emphasising the value of putting faces to names.
A pause for a pub lunch was good too!
